Daily Encouragement: Day 1

Updated: Jul 27, 2021

Scripture:

Isaiah 43:1-2

But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters,I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

Thoughts:

It’s easy to feel alone when the pain is unbearable and the future is uncertain. It’s easy to look around and wonder why your life has to look so different from everyone else. God is fighting for you. Even when things seems like they will never get better remember you are HIS. You are precious to Him and He loves you more than you can even fathom. Set your eyes on Jesus, He will bring peace and clarity even when the loneliness is overwhelming and you feel as if your heart will never mend. Take one minute at a time trusting Him and leaning on Him. He will keep you safe even in the fire.

Questions:

What is one thing you can trust God with right now?

How has God fought for you in the past?

Action:

Take a few minutes to talk to God about fear(s). Open your hands and ask God to take your fear(s) from you.

Moving forward, make decisions out of trust, not fear.
