MEET THE TEAM

WHO WE ARE

RACHEL MENZOIAN

LPC
Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor
Completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy
Owner of Refuel Counseling, LLC

Hi, I’m Rachel. I’ve been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2008, but more than that, I’m someone who genuinely cares about walking with people through some of the hardest, messiest, and most meaningful seasons of life. I work with men, women, and couples who are navigating things like anxiety, marriage struggles, separation or divorce, stepfamily dynamics, boundary setting, co-parenting, self-worth, and major life transitions. If it feels heavy or overwhelming, you don’t have to carry it alone.

I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Georgia State in 2005, but my real education has come from sitting across from people who are just trying to find peace, clarity, and hope…and from living it myself.

On the personal side, I’m a mom to two teenagers and live in Forsyth County. After 13 years of marriage, I went through a painful and heartbreaking divorce. That season tested me deeply, but it also became a time when my faith in God grew stronger. His grace carried me through, and still does. I’m now remarried, and while life isn’t perfect, I know the beauty of healing and new beginnings.

If you’re in a tough season right now, I’d be honored to walk with you through it. You can reach me at rachel@refuelcounseling.com

MAX MERRITT

LPC

Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor

Hello all, I'm Max and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor here in the great state of Georgia.  I look at counseling as a collaborative journey, where you’re seen, heard, and equipped to move forward with hope. My goal is to meet you wherever you are, offering support across the lifespan.

Two of my primary specialties are helping kids and teens with ADHD & high‑functioning autism. I also have experience helping all age groups with anxiety & depression, thoughts of self‑harm or suicide, anger management & addiction, bullying, self-esteem challenges, relationship struggles, career transitions and life changes. No matter your age or situation, I’m committed to helping you build a life worth living.

I mostly work from a Cognitive Behavioral and Person‑Centered approach. Together, we’ll identify goals, embrace your strengths, and chart a course forward. I also offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for clients who want to improve their emotional regulation, distress tolerance, or develop stronger interpersonal skills.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University, and I’m licensed here in Georgia as an LPC.

Outside of counseling, I “refuel” by reading, biking, attending concerts, volunteering at church, and jamming on either my acoustic or bass guitar. Most importantly, I love spending time with my family.

I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Feel free to email me at max@refuelcounseling.com when you’re ready to start.

LINDSEY DASHER

Associate Professional Counselor

NCC

Completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Hi, I'm Lindsey! I'm so glad you've taken this first step. Sometimes showing up for ourselves can be the hardest part.

Creating a space where you feel safe to share the good, the messy, and the in‑between is what brings me joy. I am an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I’ve completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and I've completed advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health.

I work with individuals and couples facing challenges like relationship conflicts, financial stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and divorce/separation. I’m also deeply committed to supporting women experiencing peripartum issues—providing a compassionate space to process anxiety, depression, or identity shifts.

I believe counseling should holistically engage your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well‑being. I integrate techniques from the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused and Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to tailor the support you need.

I studied Psychology at the University of Georgia and earned my Master of Science in Counseling at the University of North Georgia.

I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years, and we’re loving life with our three kids. Outside of work, I “refuel” by volunteering at church, spending time with family, and rewatching my favorite shows.

If you've ever needed a place to truly be yourself, without filters, I’d love to sit with you and help you find clarity. Send me a message and let's get started. lindsey@refuelcounseling.com

MARINA MEISNER

Associate Professional Counselor

Hi, I'm Marina and I'm so glad you've found your way to Refuel Counseling.

I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Social Sciences and Health & Human Services. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and feeling more equipped than ever to support you on your journey.

I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults, helping you gain fresh perspective, renewed confidence, and a stronger sense of who you are. My background includes years of mentoring high school students through my church community, and I’ve found deep joy in making space for growth and healing.

Whether you’re figuring out your next steps, navigating relationships, or feeling stuck in transitions, I aim to offer a safe and compassionate space where your full self can be seen...the good, the challenging, and everything in between.

To "refuel", I love exploring the outdoors with my husband, traveling to visit family, and savoring a good coffee shop moment, often with a great book in hand.

When you're ready to explore what's next with intention and support, I'd be honored to connect with you. marina@refuelcounseling.com

Ingrid Amason

Counselor-In-Training

Under Rachel Menzoian, LPC, CPCS

Hi, I'm Ingrid! I am so excited you have decided to take the next step in your wellness journey.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Samford University and recently completed my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy through Liberty University.

I love helping children, teens, and young adults grow in self-awareness and confidence. Having spent years serving in youth ministry, I’ve been privileged to mentor young people through seasons of transition, and it’s fueled my passion for creating space where they can learn about their personality, relationships, and attachment styles.

Together, we’ll explore who you are...mind, heart, emotions, and spiritual well-being, creating a safe space for all parts of your story to be known. I believe that understanding yourself, your relational patterns, and your attachment style lays a strong foundation for healthy relationships and a richer, more meaningful life.

When I'm not mentoring or studying, you can find me "refueling" by reading, cooking, exploring the great outdoors with my dog Tex, or spending quality time with family and friends.

Whatever you're facing, you do not have to do it alone. I look forward to taking this journey with you. Send me a note ingrid@refuelcounseling.com when you're ready to get started.
